Getting started
The fastest way to understand VinglishTalk is to open a room. Here's the whole path, from the idea in your head to your first saved clip. It takes about five minutes.
You'll need an account to open or join a room — sign in with Google or a password. Browsing the lobby and listening in, you can do as a guest.
1. Build an idea collection
Everything starts with something to say. Head to Ideas and create a collection: a title (your take, your topic, your hot opinion) and a short list of key points — at least three, written as numbered lines. Add a color and a few hashtags if you like, and pin the ones you reach for most.
Keep each point sharp — a phrase, not a paragraph. These become your map on stage: a teleprompter for you and a shared outline for the people listening. Collections are reusable, so a good one is worth keeping around.

2. Open a room
Go to New room, choose the idea collection you just made, and pick a format:
Normal
Real-time voice. You and two Miners talk it through live. For when you're ready for the real thing.
Audio Chat
Turn-by-turn dubbed cards with time to think and an Echoer to help. The gentlest start.

3. Warm up backstage
Your room opens backstage — a private warm-up where your mic stays on your own device and nothing is broadcast. Tap through your key points and rehearse them out loud. Nobody can hear you yet. Use the moment to settle your nerves and find your opening line.
4. Go live
The room flips live automatically the instant a small audience has gathered: one Miner and one Lurker join you. From that moment your voice goes wide and the room's tools unlock. There's no countdown — talk for as long as the conversation has legs, and end the room whenever you're done.
Don't sit backstage hoping. Open the Waiting Hall and pull available people straight into your empty seats — they get a prompt, tap accept, and drop in. It's the fastest path from "alone backstage" to "live."
While you're live, lean on the tools in In the room:
- Watch the reports roll in and like the ones that capture your idea.
- Let the Miners relay the crowd's best questions — answer those.
- Blank for a second? Hold Thinking Mode. Need a breather? Step Down.
5. Save a clip
Caught yourself saying something well? Save it as one of your three My Thinkings clips — the short voice recordings that headline your profile. They're your voice business card: visitors tap to hear your real accent, humor, and way of thinking. You choose what's worth keeping.
Don't want to host yet?
You never have to. Most people start by joining someone else's room.
Join as a Lurker
Tap any room in the lobby. Listen, drop vibes, write a report, and feed tips to the Miners — all without ever turning on a mic.
Become a Miner
Hit Request to Mine and slide into a seat the moment one opens. You're now an active listener in the real conversation.
Take a class
Drop into a Live Class to watch a teacher for free, or pay to queue for one-on-one time on the mic.
Wait to be invited
Flag yourself in the Waiting Hall and let a Sparker pull you into a seat. Zero commitment — you accept only the invites you actually want.
